Funding and Insurance

CARE is funded through a network of health insurance companies for counseling, applied behavior analysis, and social skills.  Please contact our office and we will guide the process in obtaining authorization for services.

If you are out of network and are interested in CARE-provided services, please contact us. Our Finance team is ready to help. Options available for funding services with CARE include private pay, your health insurance, or through regional centers.

Regional Centers

Regional Centers are non-profit private corporations that contract with California Department of Developmental Services to provide or coordinate services and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities.  There are 21 regional centers through California to help find and access the many services available to individuals and their families.  They are governed under the Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Act.

Private Pay

Private pay means paying out of pocket for assessment, therapy, and services.  Please keep in mind some of the cost may be tax deductible, please consult your tax advisor.

School Funded

CARE is a non-public agency (NPA) and is certified through the California Department of Education to provide:

  • Behavioral services and support
  • Functional Assessments
  • Training to administrators and personnel
  • Occupational therapy
  • Speech Language therapy

Private Insurance

Private employer-sponsored insurance. Your insurance policy may cover ABA services.  In fact, many states have passed laws that require many insurance policies to cover the diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorders, including ABA therapy. For additional information, see our FAQ on insurance and visit Autism Speaks site for updates
