Conduct Disorders

We understand the importance of treatments for conduct disorders. We can help to decrease or eliminate many identified problem behaviors in the short-term, while at the same time, working towards the long-term goal of preventing children’s behavioral patterns from worsening. Our methods include positive reinforcement to teach appropriate behaviors and eliminating damaging behaviors. Our goal is to help parents learn how to help modify their children’s behavior, while providing a positive learning environment. To ensure success, close coordination between therapist and parents is pivotal. The consistent reinforcement of treatment by parents/caregivers during everyday family situations is crucial to continuous improvement.

Behavior therapy for children with conduct disorders is based on science-based learning theory. Behavior patterns are often learned behaviors, and inappropriate behaviors can be unlearned.
